Get Excited About Your Business Again

It’s time to get excited about your business again.

Think back to when you first started your business. Think back to the excitement, the passion that went into it, and the energy you had to share ALL about it. Now, however many months/years later, do you still have that energy and excitement? Does it still bring you joy to share about your business?

Don’t worry if your first thought is “NOPE.” Because with the ebb and flow of business, that’s what happens sometimes. It’s also a result of sharing content that doesn’t get you the engagement and results you’re looking for. Maybe you’re so burnt out doing all the day-to-day tasks of your business that you’re not even sure if you have time to write content that sticks. Or maybe you’re feeling like you have so much MORE to share, but just aren’t sure how.

Whatever place you fall in, you’re not alone.

Sometimes we just need to find that excitement again

I’m not saying that as someone who has it all figured out. In fact, would you believe me if I said that creating content for others was a piece of cake, but my own content, forget it? Sometimes it takes that extra push, that little refresher, or that reminder that what we’re doing matters. The best way to do that, in my opinion?

Get back to the “why” of it all. 

Finding your “why”

I know, I know. This might be one of the most overused phrases in the world of entrepreneurship. But it’s so important! In fact, it’s essential. Because once the beauty of your own work hours, your time away from your old job, or the joy of doing what you love starts to wear off as challenges come up, you need to get back to it. You need to remember why you started it in the first place.

This doesn’t just mean things like to make more money or to get free from the 9-5. I think it’d be fair to say those are both things that are highly desirable for anyone. It means you need to dig deeper. Think of the bigger impact, the bigger vision, and the bigger picture. Think about why you began. Not only that, think about why you continue.

Finding your voice

Once you’ve identified your “why,” it’s time to identify your voice. After that, it’s time to find that vision. These two are both necessary components in selling yourself, your products, and your services. After all, in the dog eat dog world of business, YOU are the thing that will stand out most. Make sure your voice and vision isn’t getting lost in the shuffle. Make sure you’re not forgetting it in the day-to-day and when things get tough (or a little bit crazy). 

Get energized 

Take the time to let yourself get energized again. By remembering your “why” and clarifying your voice and vision, you’ll get EXCITED again.
